Radon Testing & Mitigation

Radon Testing & Mitigation

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that comes from the soil surrounding your home and is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer. Every home has it, whether it’s on a basement, crawlspace, or a slab. New or old. Radon gas is produced when uranium, thorium, and radium break down in soil, rock, and water. It is then released into the air of your home. Radon is odorless and invisible.

According to the EPA, Kentuckiana is considered a “Zone 1 &  Zone 2” area. These “Radon Hot Spots” have a predicted average indoor radon screening levels greater than 2-4 pCi/L.

The only way to know if your home is affected by elevated levels, is by testing for it. The only way to reduce elevated levels is by mitigation.

Wright Choice Home Inspection partners with Breathe Wright Radon and Air Quality Services to help you clear the air.
